Botanic
Garden |

Visby
hosts
a
wonderful
botanic
garden,
functioning
like
an
oasis

a
green
lunge
for
the
whole
of
the
town.
The
gardens
display
an
abundance
of
trees,
shrubs

flowers,

commonly
growing
and
thriving
so
far
north.
This
is
due
to
the
fact
that
the
sea
around
Gotland
contributes
to
a
milder

well-preserved
ring
wall.
The
construction
of
the
wall
started
as
early
as
in
the
12th
century,
and
it's
main
task
was
to
protect
Visby
and
its
burghers
from
attacks,
both
from
the
Gotland
inland
and
the
sea. |

of

is
so
well-preserved
that
it
was
admitted
into
the
UNESCO
list
of
World
heritage
list,
to
be
kept
and
maintained
for
coming

medieval
houses

harbour,

Almedalen.

Historical
museum
you
will

Strandgatan

town

cuisine,
in
the
summer
there
is
even
a
restaurant
with
medieval

Adelsgatan

Square
